# The student record

> What the Unifuse student record shows from your SIS, LMS and Unifuse's own data, the actions available on it, and what "Not on file" and "Hidden" mean.

The student record opens as an overlay from any list, and also as its own page. It brings
together what your student information system (SIS) and learning management system (LMS)
report, and what your staff have recorded in Unifuse.

SIS and LMS data are read-only in Unifuse. Unifuse stores only its own data: notes, tags,
escalations, appointments and outreach history.

## Header

Name and ID; program, cohort and EdTech platform; badges for status, risk level, this week's
cohort, enrollment status and **Inactive in SIS**; tag chips with suggestions; and stat cards
for cumulative GPA, attendance, risk score and class rank.

## Actions

| Button | What it does | Permission |

| **Schedule meeting** | Opens the appointment wizard. | manage appointments |
| **Escalate** | Opens the escalation dialog: **Escalate to**, **Reason** (required) and **Urgency** (low, medium, high, critical). The email sent carries the student's name, ID, urgency and reason only; scores and notes stay behind sign-in. | escalate students |

Buttons you cannot use are greyed out with an explanation.

| Activity Timeline | Unifuse | Notes, escalations, appointments, outreach, assistant conversations and cohort moves, with **View all** |
| Weekly Risk Cohort | Unifuse | This week's cohort, its reason codes and where the student moved from |
| Advisor Notes | Unifuse | Notes with author and time; **Pin to top** |
| Escalations | Unifuse | Open cases with **Mark In Review**, **Resolve** and **Reopen** |
| Communication | Unifuse | Sent, delivered, replied and response rate over 90 days by channel; last contact; last reply; **Opted out**. Counts only, never message text |

## Conventions

- **Not on file**: no import has supplied this field yet.
- **Hidden**: the field is withheld by your role or by institution settings. Sensitive fields
  are marked **Managers only** in the configure drawer.
- Administrators can mask SIS IDs to their last four digits.
